Started my day off at the gym in the morning with Ian. You can say it's one of our shortest gym sessions ever, 45mins. Hahahaha, had yong tau fu for lunch again today. Lab test was a major screw up. I seriously don't understand why isn't there any revision just before the test or something. It's like after 3 weeks and there comes a test? There wasn't any lab sessions at all during those 3 weeks or so. Damn the teacher, poor planning! Felt extremely tired today and took a short nap after dinner. Slept for about 30mins on the chair before I woke up and started chatting on MSN.
Tests after tests when will it ever end. Anyways.. I just watched finished a show by Jack Neo titled "One More Chance" a.k.a "San Ge Hao Ren". I tell you it's a real comedy. I truly enjoy watching movies produced by him and never failed to really laugh my head off after watching each movie.
During the movie there were some scenes that triggered off my laughter as well as some thinking. Hmmm let me start it off with the comedy scenes. Could only remember one so.. here it goes.
Ahmad: Deh, caning only no need scared one.
Ah Hweh: *gives a dazed look*
Ahmad: Brother nevermind I give you my full support.
Ah Hweh: Thank you for your support. But mdm said after me, is your turn.
Ahmad: *gives a shocked & stunned expression*
Alright though this may not really sound funny but you should watch the scene itself. The scene that really got me thinking was, the ex-convict was desperately trying to find a job. So time and again he goes to different companies and try his luck but time and again they asked him to go home and gave him false hope by saying that they will give him a call a few days later. Basically I've experienced this before though I'm not an ex-convict but the feeling really sucked. And guess what for my case, I received the call only after 2 weeks. Let's get back to the story. So the ex-convict said to the, HR staff? He said, "The government only sentenced me 10 years of jail. YOU GUYS JUST SENTENCED ME TO DEATH!!" Can you imagine? After serving 10 years in prison and you can't find a decent job after your release. Isn't it as good as sending you to "die"? Think about it and give me your answer. Should all ex-convicts be discriminated? Or should they be given another chance?
